SVG Recolor Trick Saves 40 Hours/Month (2-Minute Workflow Designers Don't Know About)

Every time a client says "can you make it blue instead of red?" you're wasting 30 minutes re-exporting, re-importing, rebuilding mockups.
Here's the 2-minute fix nobody talks about:
Export your design as SVG → Open in Notepad → Find & Replace the color hex code → Save and done. That's it. No plugins, no re-exporting, no rebuilds. One colour change takes 45 seconds instead of 30 minutes.
Real impact: One client did 50 colour variations last month. Old way = 25 hours. SVG recolor method = 40 minutes. That's 24.5 hours saved on ONE project.
Works in Figma, Adobe, Sketch — any tool that exports SVG. The svg recolor technique costs nothing and works everywhere.
If you're manually recolouring designs in 2026, you're doing it wrong. Start today.
Anyone else using this workflow? What's your fastest colour-change time?

That’s a handy workflow for quick color variations, especially when you have a lot of versions to update. I’d still keep the original SVG backed up before doing bulk replacements. For simple client changes, this could save a lot of repetitive work.
