Hello DP. I run a forum called SustainabilityForum.com and would love to hear what you think of it and what you would do differently to make the forum more attractive for members and guests. All ideas are welcome. www.sustainabilityforum.com/forum Thanks. Fabian
Hello Fabian, I would spice up the appearance a little...make the site more visually appealing. For people who have never been to your site, they likely wouldn't know what it's about or be interested enough to take the time to explore and/or register and participate.
logo looks pretty good, sidebar seems ok, but overall site has default vb theme , you might want to change that in future, though i see u have done some work with changing the icons and adding rss feeds to each forum category individually this would be helpful to forum users definately.
I would loose the menu at the right and put ads ad the top and bottom of each page. Also your domain name is a little long.
Thanks everyone for the review and advice. I will definately invest some more resources into the feel and look of the forum in the next few months. I will look into the rss feed option as well thanks for that. Anyone else with any views? Thanks. Fabian
I would agree on the vertical side bar menu should be removed and be put on top and bottom of the pages. Long name is possibly inevitable but could have an abbreviated domain name that might help the actual frequent users. esust.com is available for registration. =)
It loads pretty slow (8-10) seconds. Colors and layout are OK. You should move the forum directly to main page www.sustainabilityforum.com/forum is repeatable
Thanks for the info freediver. I will look into the loading time. On the /forum. That is intention. I will build a complete website around it in the near future so that the discussion forum will only be one part of the site. Fabian
