Hi guys , I have a 50 page fully html content website. For the past few months i was getting quality backlinks to it but was surprised that it was not ranking high in serps. A few days back i verified the website in google webmaster central and found that the www and non www versions of the website had different pageranks. After some research i clicked on the prefered domain option and waited for google to make changes. Today i logged in and found there was a error-->101 not found urls . Funny since the website is only 50 pages. Now here's what the url's look like. Mywebsite.com/search2.cfm?searchterm=Anaheim+Angels mywebsite.com/search2.cfm?searchterm=Buffalo+Bills mywebsite.com/search2.cfm?searchterm=Baltimore+Ravens and tons of others. where did .cfm come from ? I am no coding geek and this i putting pressure on my limited neurons
How old is your website? Is it a brand new domain or an expired/bought one? This happens to me when one of my domain names expired and the registrar parked it. The website was previously indexed by google, so google bot indexed all the parked pages too. When I relaunched the site, I got similar errors in webmaster central.. Is it a case with you ?
I don't know much about it, but it's a coldfusion extension. If you application developed with coldfusion?
It's a new website .I registered the domain in Dec 2006 but developed the website only around feb of 2007. The site is all plain html made in xsitepro. The website is in kitchen related niche . The urls which are popping up have keywords which i cannot even relate to my website. Chicago+Cubs chicago+bulls Detroit+Lions search2.cfm?searchterm=MLB
