I got suspended. They gave the following reason: "This account was suspended for sending multiple unsolicited @replies or mentions. Twitter monitors the use of these features to make sure they're not abused. Using either feature to post messages to other users in an unsolicited or egregious manner is considered an abuse of its use, which results in account suspension." I'm not quite sure what it means and i can't contact Twitter to elaborate. I answer lots of tweets where i ain't mentioned, and that seems to be a problem. Why is that so? I don't abuse anybody, i'm just trying to get to know people by contacting them in their tweets. Does any one know how to behave to avoid suspension for this reason?
If some of the people you contacted reported you or blocked, that's probably the reason why your account was suspended. They'll probably unsuspend you if you reply to their email.
Again, don't forget to apologize (even if it's not your fault) to them. They won't reopen your account, if you're not polite.
That's kind of a lame reason to suspend someone. I'm always happy to receive @messages from people, and I take the time to respond to every one. If I reply to a tweet with my own comment that is also an @message. I always thought this kind of personal interaction was one of the best features of twitter. It's kind of sad to see that people are getting their account locked over it.
Yeahh...if you reply many account without they following you, Twitter will count your reply as spam. So, ask them to following you if you want to chat with them
