GTM are still the best option for online survey I guess ... If you live in USA or Canada you might earn a decent earnings from online surveys ..
I have been paid by pinecone research a few times via paypal. none of the rest of them have paid so I only do pinecone now.
AFAIK,almost none of the online survey is paying. In fact,last time i tried some,but ended up they did not let me withdraw my money and the money is still pending withdraw since June 2008 till now. They pay via check or egold coz paypal don't allow survey site.
I've used cashcrate and got a nice check from them, most survey sites are scams, but try cashcrate if it's still around.

awsurveys is a scam, there is 25$ of work but you cnanot payout until $100 so you end up never getting paid.

Hi, I currently run 4 websites that are about online surveys, there are plenty of good paying sites out there. I can tell you straight up that any legitimate survey site will pay by paypal, direct deposit, cheque or in some cases gift certificates, who ever said survey sites don't use paypal have no idea what they are talking about. As to what is the best site, it all depends on what country you are from and without knowing it is pretty much impossible for me to let you know what is the best for yourself.

Paid survey only work well for US resident. Best paid survey site would be : Global Test Market, Test Spin, Surveys.com, Pine cone (this one preferring male sign up), brand institute, esearch, valued opinion and netverdix.
I agree most of them are scams what is it you like to/can do? There may be a way for you to make money online elsewhere.
