I don't know how to start. should i target advertisers, or people that click ads.

The design looks plain, you should add more colors into the color
scheme and add some graphics to the page.

New Design?

All I see is the default design that comes with the yourownbux script.

 

Compare that to the old site, its a big change.

I migrated from an old bux script to a new one keeping all the users and their earnings
