Surely this can't be right...

    Hi folks,

I've recently been given access to GA and assorted back-end bits for my company's website(s).

I was reviewing traffic-by-technology sources and was amazed/confused/in-disbelief to find that GA is telling me that over 80% of traffic to one of our sites is from mobile platforms (42.58% from "Android Browser" and 40% from "Safari").

At first I thought this had to be a reporting error, so I checked out our sister site in the same GA account and its traffic technology profile looked completely normal (40%+ from Windows, only 18% from Safari, etc).

Whilst the services both sites represent are distinct, I don't think the services on the first site generally promote a mobile audience.

Is there any way I can verify the data? Are there known instances of this turning out to be erroneous reporting by GA?

    Any advice/opinions/anecdotal experiences very welcome.
