but if you bothered to read the other comments, some of witch are from respected members who know their SEO. then you would realize that the article is valid!

if the OP makes some profit for offering a service cheaper than anyone else then great! because he believes in his service and his prepared to offer advice on how best to take advantage of it, thats called marketing!
would you rather he recommend one of his competitors who are more expensive! Get a life!

it never ceases to amaze me that no matter what someone does, there is always some sad sack with nothing better to do than try and discredit it.

I for one will be signing up for the service.

Thanks again for a great article. rep added

    1) He said this is not for n00bs. Wrong.
    This is for n00bs.

    2) C Class is as old as SEO.. and any one who has more than 10 sites know about C Class and its Potential Impacts. I said potential because it has not been proven that Multiple C Class HURTS.

    3) Same C Class doesn't hurt anyone. It has not yet been proven that same C Class will hurt unless you run like a 1000 slpogs from the same host.

    4) This is a Disclaimer: I use Multiple hosts because even though same C Class might not hurt(no proof yet), it has the potential to hurt and when Google does change the algorithm I don't want to get caught with my pants down.

More reason for using multiple host :

    1) When one host if down not all sites are down.
    2) I own multiple sites in every niche and I keep it a habit to spread out the host for sites with same niche.

Multiple C Class is recomended but as long as you keep less than 10 sites per host it is FINE...

Instead of 5 C Class for 20 dollars a month, by paying slightly more I use multiple dreamhost accounts where you get 1 c class per 6 dollars :) with neat bandwidth and space... Each host handles at least 12k Page views per day for simple WP sites. For 12 K plus, Dedicated.

OK, so it as not been proven that same C class hurts, but for $20 a month i prefer to not be caught with my pants down!

as for multiple hosts, i already have several, this is another iron in my fire.

perhaps you would like to elaborate cormac? or are you limited to one liners?

    I'm not talking about SEO.

Before you *buy* an IP read up on how their allocated to end users and how Data Centres utilize their ranges. If you prefer not to be caught with your pants down that is.

    Just for you.

Hosting companies that are large enough are usually assigned a big range of IPs. For instance, here in Ireland this host runs on range 82.195.xxx.xxx and others.

If my IP is on 82.195.115.xxx I can simply request a new IP thats not on 82.195.115... and for the most part they are happy to help.

Hostgator is a prime example of a large data centre with many ranges and as they stated on webhosting talk:

So hostgator is selling C Class hosting for SEO purposes and they don't even know if it works? I bet you any money their network engineers are laughing at the silliness of C Class hosting for SEO.

what would be the difference to signing up for various (or just 5) different
free blog publishers and doing this same strategy on the free blogs?

i just want to add that there is more then just those 3 providers to get multiple ip's. A simple way to get them from any provider is buying there lowest level shared hosting for each one of your domains. If they are a good provider they won't have any problem placing each of your shared accounts on a different shared server. A real reason to pick a hosting provider would be there hardware, software, support, data speed and location not there ability to hand out ip's.

    good "old" article though
