DnWiz, your account has been approved... cDigitalPoint, glad u like it... However I'm not sure DP will respect your handle though... Id request an admin to change it... IMO Shawn is the only "DigitalPoint"... but again, thats just my opinion.

**All accounts approved...Didnt know so many came in tonight...sorry for the delay....**

Goto www.surch.com and click on "advertise with us" fill out the forms by entering your URL(s), keywords etc... when it gets to the payment election put 500.00 EXACTLY... then click next and it will take you to a paypal page... at that point just exit and we will see the account and approve it for free. :) **hint** when you are asked what type of submission method; choose "flat rate" as it will place you in the sponsored results at the very top.

tony84 check again and let me know if everything is ok... because its not a "paid transaction" I literally have to approve it manually... to date I think Surch has given over 500K in free PPC and sponsored listings to DP members. :)

You have to work harder for catching google. And your logo must be unique.
    These are my opinions.

    Hi Surch,

Had a couple of questions if that's ok..

    1) I read in another thread surch has been in development for 5 years, in which case can you please tell me the association with webmenu.com, which to me looks like the same technology?

    2) You say you also crawl the internet but I cannot find any evidence of a surch.com bot, can you tell me how it identifies itself? and a link to the page which explains how to block it from my site etc.? Not that I'm going to block it but I'd still like to read it, and it's standard practise for any legitimate search crawler to have.

    3) The feature I particularly like is the LiveKnowledge (which webmenu also has), can you tell me where you get this from please?

    Thanks.

I must say it does look very much like webmenu, but I have good faith Surch would not lie, if he says he made it.. I trust him :). Hmm I must say however "biznetic.com" is selling the script that Surch seems to run on.

For example lets take something they both have, view in frame:

    http://surch.com/cgi-bin/surch/rfra...frdurl=http://gaming.engadget.com/&_rurl_url=

    http://biznetic.com/cgi-bin/search/...2c2&_ifrdurl=http://www.games.com/&_rurl_url=

    Ok and another, Quicklook

    javascript:CG_QuickView(2, '/cgi-bin/surch/rframed.cgi?query=Gaming&tag=6589924693I1161557464&where=web&target=web&vid=l194247235171I1161557128&twin=n&ilang=english&mpg=1&cl=res&tframe=n&cstat=&_ifrdurl=http://gaming.engadget.com/&_rurl_url=')

    javascript:CG_QuickView(4, '/cgi-bin/search/rframed.cgi?query=Games&tag=8428597971I1161557487&where=web&target=web&vid=l194247235171I1161557403&mpg=1&cl=res&tvpg=1&tvpp=20&ndcase=sc&tframe=n&cstat=139343e2234373e2233353e2137313c2c2&_ifrdurl=http://www.games.com/&_rurl_url=')

I must say, it certainly looks like Surch brought the script and has been trying to pass it as his own...
