Steve thanks. We are just finishing up the copywrite and a few other things before we "officially" launch and do a PR run... on a side note I went to fastlinedirectory.net, nice site! I submitted a link
I hope it goes VERY well for you guys, I think I found myself a new engine to surch on Your submission was moved to our new category "Search Engines" to meet your criteria and will be reviewed by an editor, thank you again for visiting us, and glad you like the site!
hey if anyone here knows a good copywritter I would more than thankful... the people I am working with just arent doing what I want... thanks!
surchin, check out http://www.legalzoom.com and let me know what you think, I have a few more I need to look at before I pass them over to you.
Here is another one. http://www.gocopyright.com/ | So far I haven't seen anything else with good quality or high service, but I am sure someone might pull something out of their hat
I was pleasantly surprised, usually the unknown search engines aren't this unique. I'll still stick with Google since I'm used to it, but definitely keep us updated on your progess as time progresses. BTW, I was happy to see my websites indexed
The only thing I like about is you can put "bad words"(think females) in the image search. And those images come up.
I had to come back and comment on this again, after playing around with the site, I like it even more. It's actually very good. If it wasnt for my personalized Google Homepage with news, digg, gmail, etc. I would totally set surch as my start page. Good F'ing job on the site!
hey comon ly2 I just turned it on 3 months ago... googles got a few years of development on me but Im adding free web based email....and unlike gmail, we wont read your emails
Words from a proud man, I like that. I don't however like that they do read your e-mails and I respect that you do not read our e-mails when you get this developed. surch.com has been accepted into FastLine Directory - Keep up the good work surchin, I'm using your engine more than I use google now
Just mucking about with images (looking for pics of MC Lars) and some of the redirects when I clicked on an image worked, others broke like this http://www.surch.com/cgi-bin/surch/http://mclars.com/press.html [bottom left on this page]
Steve as always thanks. I think you guys will love some of the additions to surch... check out www.surch.com/blue_all.jpg ... that is our browser that we are coming out with soon and will compliment our webmail and voip/vid conferencing app.... shhhh its still a bit of a secret but I thought Id show u guys. Sarah, yes I know, I have a ton of work left to do on the images... its been a bit of a issue that I placed on the back burner for some time now but I should be getting around to advancing it soon.
wwws, Thanks Im glad you like it and thank you for the inclusion, nice site you have BOG, you have issues... LOL
I do have to say though, (and please don't view me differently on this) but when I do search for certain images, I do get better results (hehe) than I do on google, so you do have a deeper pull than google, that is for sure.
surchin your search engine looks really good and professional..great work man..is it just your one working on it? how long have you been working at it?
If I had any programming skills, I'd offer him some free help. I think this is going to be a great SE. Actually, far as I'm concerned... #1 Google #2 Surch #3 Yahoo #4 MSN #5 ASK You add email and a personalized homepage to surch, it would be set as my startpage >=]
LOL Steve... ProjectZ, thanks! Surch is now almost 5 years in development along with the other applications to compliment it such as the browser... anyone look at the screen cap of it yet? ( www.surch.com/blue_all.jpg ) Ill post the download for it on DP as soon as we release it... in fact Ill place it here first ly2, whats your favorite part of googles personalized homepage? Ive thought alot about this and from an anti-spyware perspective Ive chosen not to include an rss news reader (with a "personalized" approach) as google does within the site itself... Although many speculate as to what google really does with the data it has access to, and being that its not that Surch would ever track or monitor a given users browsing activities, it comes with great alarm given the recent threat or "attempt" by the powers that be to retrieve data on users activities that I have chosen to limit surch's ability to "potentially" access such. There are some major privacy concerns I have with it however, within our browser there is an rss new reader and it will integrate web-mail...So if you eventually use surch's browser and engine you will have all the benefits that you currently enjoy, but with privacy. As long as the settings are client side (within something such as a browser) and not web-based your privacy is safe.
