I was searching digg, and they say that Surch.com is parked? I went there and it's parked for me. Anybody know what's up? Here's the digg url (can't get live links) : digg.com/tech_news/Surch_com_Parked_m_Profit_Geek If someone could post a live link to that digg, it'd help other members here. The article explains some things. EDIT : someone found a link to an EXCLUSIVE with the owner : digg.com/tech_news/Surch_com_is_Parked_Here_s_why_Profit_Geek ^^Johnnie explains what's going on.
Huh, i read the article that digg points to.. I'd like to know what happened. Once a site gets promoted that aggressively, its hard to see why it would be parked :/
Why would the owner of Surch.com not renew its registration. I always thought that the domain was a very good one.
Actually I can give news about whats going on. They just released another article at digg. Could anyone make the first link and this one live links so that its easier, cause I also don't have live links yet....sorry! http://digg.com/tech_news/Surch_com_is_Parked_Here_s_why_Profit_Geek
agreed. I think its just wrong to mess with your father like that. Especially when you have gotten all your funds from him to start the stuff.
Basically this means the entire surch engine is not true. I doubt a father and son operation even with a couple million (if they even have that) will be able to do much. They would need a massive advertising budget to be able to gain even ask.com 's following. His "team" and "years" of work also are likely untrue at this point, really kinda pisses me off.
Maybe its just what i think, but not many father/son teams have large development budgets which will enable them to create a tool that can rival something like google or yahoo. Even if the surch engine has good results it doesn't mean too much.. there is an enormous back end to a large search engine just like any large script. If he did spend millions on it, even if his son did something or another, i doubt the father would just say, ahh screw it, i'm angry so i'll destroy this company i've been spending a lot of money on.
