thanks everyone I'm glad all you like it so much... ROBERT, yes, Iam the lead developer and owner of surch. And hey, if you are having problems spelling it, use our plugin for firefox or IE or just make us your homepage :-P

If you read in the surch.com thread you will find out more about our updates but to answer your question the site thumbs should all be working soon... we are currently indexing the entire net on a 120TB storage device but some modifications to that wont be updated until early next year. at that time you will be able to submit if your site is not already previewed. As to the data cluster and everything else with surch its all custom in house work....5 years in development... well aside from the PPC engine that we bought.

It looks heaps better than google and has a mp3 search, but I don't know if I am going to be able to type surch.com instead of google.com. I type google.com so much it is like a reflex for when I need something

I am trying to stay out of this thread but... just wondering... I see that google has been the leader in this poll... yet I dont find anyone explaining why? can anyone tell me why google is better than surch other than

I read somewhere that "We are all a vast majority of sheep, a blue button collar, starched and bleached."

If using google over any other engine is, on your own accord driven by habbit and not by the quality of results then:

"surch" is 5 different letters and they're not close together on the QWERTY keyboard.

I voted for surch anyway

Being honest (I initially thought this thread was a kind of joke) no one can compare with Google.

Even if surch features websites preview (you can do that even with google by using LostGoogles plug-in) or has search engine for other stuff i don't think it will ever be easy to take a share of this market.

Don't forget Google has a lot of money (that means it has a lot of advertisers, and also a lot of visitors), and even Yahoo Search or MSN can't compare with them.

I'm an heavy advertiser through Google AdWords and I neither care to spend money on Yahoo SM to advertise (they have the worst customer care I have ever seen).

That's my 0,02

My opionon is (running a search engine) that this is a nice site and well done but is nothing compared to Google. As people say, its Google, it has extremely advance syntax, offers great services, has the best PPC stuff. I do like the cluster stuff, but there are many bigger better sites that do this already and they are still nothing compared to Google.

I have not noticed anything unique about this site. Something very unique and useful needs to be created for it to hit Google
