I hope you mean that was the correct solution. The site owner even mentioned it in his blog. Some scapper sites had stolen his content which was pointed out by sarathy.

As the site owner knows he needs some new content and some links pointed to them so G sees that the site is fresh. Maybe some RSS feeds on some pages and see if that keeps the big G happy and returning often.

I'd suggest some sort of weekly update on certain pages and highlight that on the main page with a direct link from the main page.

    Something like;

Coleman sale at Homedepot nationwide this week (PLUS ANOTHER 50-200 words). Than link from the front page to the new pricing/content on your internal page. That way the big G will dig deep every week. Should be under 30 minutes per week if you have the right info available.

    Good luck.

Removing meta tags for me has worked on a number of sites.

However all your site has content copied from the Manufacturers sites so you're getting flagged for Duplicate Content.

Maybe try & write something original?

For some type of sites we need to copy data from other sites too but it not mean that that site is not good then those from which we copy data and google need to understand this :).

if you are going to take content rewrite it in your own style, unless its legal e.g finance disclaimer

I think using unique content on every page of your site which provides excellent and relevant information is the best solution. This way you will have a better chance of having Google determine that your pages are second to none.

Thanks guys, I just had all of the pages re-written, and have not posted quite all of them yet.

dbinto, thanks for looking a bit deeper ;) I just can't believe that all of these scraper sites got in over me...I even had a newspaper article rip off a paragraph from me once. I called, got them to link to my site, and then just reworded it on mine. It is amazing what a journalist will do after you say "plagiarized" ;)

Regarding google ads, try to blend them with the text of the page. Put them at the right side of the site, near the text. This way, the visitor gets the impression these are related to your content as a part of it. The best fr me works:

    Black text link
    Black link description
    Black link url

Meaning totally blended with the text.

Regarding content, use free content but never take it "as is". Modify it to make it unique. Rewrite it maintaining it's original idea.

Then, test if your site content is unique here:

    Good luck!

From general experimentation if Google visits your site & it's all copied it'll:

    1. Take Longer to get Indexed
    2. Take Longer to Rank
    3. Take up too much of your time "trying to fix it"
