Supplemental index question.

I read a post by Adam Lasnik from Google in the Google Webmaster Help Group on the supplemental index. He said that the way to bring pages out of the supplemental index into the main index is to "Get more quality backlinks. This is a key way that our algorithms will view your pages as more valuable to retain in our main index".

If you have thousands of product pages from your site in the supplemental index how in practice to you get them all "...more quality backlinks"?

Do either of you read the post before posting a comment? Your comments have nothing to do with his question.

Anyway, It would be quite a task to get links to every page in your index. I would suggest getting more deep links such as www.site.com/products/mens/shirts.html or something like that. Create more backlinks to deep URL's within your site. Hope that helps.

You can also try to submit to some deep link directories which are popping up in increasing numbers these days. Ofcourse you wouldnt be able to submit each and every page, but you can submit some of your key inner pages.

Well, I think it is your comment have nothing to do with the question. The main point of this thread is the way to bring pages out of the supplemental index into the main index is to "Get more quality backlinks. This is a key way that our algorithms will view your pages as more valuable to retain in our main index".

Well, Backlinks and unique content are very important so continue building links for that website, and do onpage optimization for unique content.

BTW: Your giving broken links so I suggest checking it once again, ok?

how does "quality links and "unique content" is not related on supplemental results..

do you know what is supplemental results means? You should read this first and learn first SEO

    SEO TIPS:
Most web sites have pages in Google's supplemental results. Make these pages easy to find for Google's web crawler. The more links point to your web pages or "Quality Links"!!!
