I haven't read or heard much about the supplemental index in awhile. Nevertheless, this week, I ran my site thru the mapelli free tool for the supplemental index ratio calculator. I found that on my site (Time4Learning.com), Total pages: 552 365 in the main index 187 in the supplemental. Here's my question, how do I find out which ones? I'm assuming that in looking at which pages have been relegated, I'll find out why .... some might be inadvertent duplicates, some might have no text (we have image and flash pages in the help section) Any help appreciated.
To find the pages in google's index go to google and type "site:www.Time4Learning.com" (without the quotes). Then to find the pages in the main index type "site:www.Time4Learning.com/*". The pages that aren't in the second query are in the supplemental index.
I totally agree with 'freelistfool' site:yourdomain.com/* in google will list the non supplemental indexed pages in the targeted website
Thanks. Here are the results: "site:www.Time4Learning.com" Total listing: 560 "site:www.Time4Learning.com/*" Main listing: 367 Supplementary listing: 193 Next question. Any simple method or tool for sorting thru the google results to find the 193 pages that aren't in the main index? Right now, I'm starting to copy one page at a time into notepad to get the total pages. I will do this 56 times. Then, I'll do the main listing search and one by one, will eliminate them from the notepad listing until I find the 193 that are left. Please someone, isn't there a better way?
Does anyone know of a tool that will list the pages in the supplemental rather than having to remember/check through which ones are in one list and not another? I find that quite time-consuming.
