Several of my sites have pages in the supplemental index. There are 3 supplemental indexes I think. site:ww w.domain.com allinurl:ww w.domain.com link:ww w.domain.com In "site" it means not in SERPS for these pages ? In "allinurl" not counted for PR ? In "link" not counted for PR ?
First... The supplemental index is an auxillary index. When a query is made, Google first checks the regular index. If not enough results are found (1000) in the regular index it then looks in the supplemental index to find more results. The other 3 you list are called operators. They are not different indexes. site: Shows you the pages indexed from a site. allinurl: Shows you the sites with the term in the URL link: Shows you a sampling of the links pointing to a site. Dave
For some unknown reason Google is putting pages in his supplemental index. The content is on the same site, is original and no tricks. I think they are different indexes. Some of my sites show pages in supplemental site:, but not in allinurl: One of my site is in supplemental for all 3. One site only supplemental in allinurl:
Pjotter... They are not indices. They are operators. Read here... http://www.google.com/help/operators.html Dave
