    Hi guys,
i am about to buy a domain name witch i am pretty sure is blacklisted. The domain is 5 years old and doesn t appear in any Google search. I was thinking about using a redirection from the BL domain domainename.com, to smt like domain-name.com. Would that pose any problem seo wise?

I would think there is a chance you could pass the penalty/ban onto the new domain. You would be associating your name with this penalized domain which could lead Google to think that you are shady and untrustworthy too.

Why would you want to buy the domain if it is banned in Google? Does it happen to get a bunch of traffic from other search engines or other sources?

Really, if you want to keep Google's trust, I think you shouldn't buy that domain. You would probably be better off to just make a new website and market it from scratch.

hi vansterdam, thanks for your reply. The thing is that for my project i need this name, i cannot find another that fits, and as is it a new service i am nope hoping to get visitors from Google at the beginning. I just wish i can get the name to appear in Google's result when searching the site name.
So the redirection is not the way to go?
Should i just stick to that name and wait for it to hopefully be unbanned?
