Ok let me rephrase, I dont have that many people I would consider star players. Best actor, Pierce Brosnan, the only actor I know with style. Best Actress, Angelina Joile, just for the looks. Sports: Nah. Hacking/Computers:Nah Bands:Incubus, Chillie Peppers, Cyclefly, etc, etc, etc Musicians: Slash -best guitarist ever.(I make it a point not to learn about musicians lives, they always disappoint you.) and thats about it.
Me neither, there are really very few superstars, Kurt Warner was a star one year and won the Super Bowl with St. Louis, a few years later he was sitting on the bench. I think most superstars are just gifted from God with talent and or looks, if you ain't got it, you ain't got it, real simple. Elvis for example could sing until his last days, his voice was still good, I was listening to a live concert of his the other day and he was "higher than a kite", could not even speak, but when he was singing songs from memory he was fine and his voice was still great until his last day.
Dont you consider Michael Jordan as superstar in Sports? Hey he is the most richest sportsman on the planet on his prime.
No doubt Mike Jordan was the greatest basketball player I ever seen in my life, when he was 23 I remember he was playing against Larry Bird and I told my friends that this guy is better than Bird and they nearly killed me. But I was right about Jordan, I can spot a winner when I see one. Labron James is a superstar also when it comes to basketball players, he is the real thing and my Cleveland Cav's got lucky and got him by being the most mismanaged team in the last 20 years. Im not a basketball fan, Do you consider David Beckam a superstar, Or half a dozen other sports figures, I dont. Im mainly into sports that involve an element of skill & danger, action sports mainly, I kind of look down on nationalistic or pedestrian sports. as for superstar status, not really, its just height and training and a bit of skill, if he was 5ft 6 and doing the same thing, perhaps. Basketball dosnt really exite me
Let me explain DarkSat, a superstar is one that is gifted (super talent or brains given by birth) Mike Jordan is one of those. Shakira is one of those, if you see her live in concert you will know that she has a gift from above. When I first seen the Led Zeppelin boys on film in 1975 or so in the "Song Remains the Same" movie I remember thinking as I was sitting in the theatre that they were naturally gifted. When someone has a overwhelming talent you can see this, that it is not learned with a superstar, but is a natural gift (their talent) not learned. Yes, you can learn to play guitar, but you can not teach yourself natural talent like Jimi Hendrix had, he was one of the few who could play and sing well at the same time. BB King can not sing and play guitar at the same time, he has to stop playing to sing. DIG?
MJ was born to be superstar. To be one of them you just dont need height and training, you must have natural talent (as anthony said), charisma and attitude. There were lot of stars out there that have potential to be super but because some of them had bad attitudes handling their fames and fans (you need alot of them to be superstar) they got stuck on blackholes.
