Save Big by Installing Vinyl Siding Yourself

Do it yourself projects (or DIY) have become extremely popular over
the last few decades. As well as saving homeowners both time and
money, they're also a hobby of sorts for many, and can really create a
feeling of accomplishment and self reliance. With a little knowledge
and perseverance, even large projects can be tackled by the committed
    do-it-yourself enthusiast.

Vinyl siding, for example, is often thought of as a large project,
requiring a professional contractor and lots of time to complete. But
more and more, DIY fans are discovering that siding their home is
actually easier that it might first appear.

To get started, you'll need to prepare the side of the home. If you
already have siding up, you'll only need to tear it off. But if the
sides are layered with tar paper, it will likely need to be re-done
before you get started with the new siding.

If you have a block home, you'll want to fur out the walls with
furing strips. You can buy these bundled at any home improvement store
and attach them using an air gun.

Before you start with the vinyl itself, you'll want to consult with an
associate at the home improvement store to make sure you have enough.
You'll also need to buy outside and inside corners, as well as the
window and door trim, so measuring all your windows and doors before
    you go is a must!

Typically, vinyl siding rolls measure 7 inches in width by 18 feet in
length, give or take. Roll sizes vary for different manufacturers, so
be sure you ask an associate.

Once home with the siding, you'll need to measure around your home and
begin your starter strip. This first strip should hang below the sill
plate about an inch. Attach the corners with roofing nails, and using…

    - Sample 2: Wedding/Relationship –

Do You Really Know Your Husband-To-Be?

How much do you really know about the man you're about to marry? Let's
face it; marriage is a big deal—scary even. In today's world, it is
simply not enough for a couple to be in love with each another; a
successful marriage requires commitment, compatibility and a
willingness to work through the tough times.

At some point, all serious couples need to ask each other the "hard" questions
before even considering "the big M." In fact, research shows that your future
    happiness could depend on it.

We've all heard the horrible statistics: close to half of all
marriages will end in divorce and the infidelity rates among couples
seem to be perpetually on the rise. It's enough to give any future
bride a permanent case of cold feet. Of course, none of us want to end
up stuck in a loveless marriage or to eventually realize that
we've married "Mr. Wrong." So what can we do about it?

Most serious and relationship-threatening problems can be prevented by
understanding why couples drift apart in the first place. Knowing
where the "pot holes" are is absolutely essential if you want to avoid
hitting them. And there are a few "potholes" that couples fall into
over and over again. Luckily, most of these can be avoided by simply asking the
right questions before running to the alter.

The worst thing a bride-to-be can do is to wait until she's married to
find out what her husband thinks about important life issues like
raising children or political leanings. Your opinion could be miles
away from his, but you'll never know unless you're willing to bring up
these subjects in a meaningful conversation.

In reality, many women put off having "the talk," because they
don't want to "spoil" the good thing they have going. They're afraid…

    - Sample 3: SEO Article –

Does Google Hate Your One-Way Links?

Are you wasting your time with one way links? You very well could
be...unless you are getting the "right" one-way links. Allow me to
    explain...

By now, everyone knows the importance of getting quality one-way
back-links--especially for a new website. But pursuing the "wrong" links
could just be wasting your time (and money), or worse, it could cost you a
lengthy stay in the dreaded Google "sandbox." In this article, we'll
talk about how Google rates links based on quality or "authority", and
how a lack of links (or poor quality links) will significantly reduce
Google's estimation of the quality of your site.

To begin with, Google trusts only a very "elite" group of sites as its
authorities. These authority sites, can "share" their authority with
other sites by linking to them. The sites these authorities link to
are normally considered more proven or trustworthy by Google, Yahoo
and the other search engines, simply because they appear to have the
endorsement of the authority sites behind them.

And this actually explains how the Google sandbox effect works: new
sites are rated as "untrustworthy" until they "earn" their way out by
garnering the trust or "endorsement" of more established authority
sites. And of course, this is done through securing one-way links from
    high authority sites.

The other big factor that contributes to your position in the SERPs is
the age of your site. Sites that have been around for years are more
likely to be seen as an authority by the search engines. And oddly
enough, this can even be true of sites with lousy content or of little
use to the average web-surfer. By having an aged site, they are
automatically considered more trustworthy simply by virtue of their…

    -Sample 4: “How To”/Financial –

How to Get a Great Credit Card Deal

There are thousands of competing credit card offers around, and it
seems every day brings a new offer. So how do you choose a credit card that
best fits your needs and lifestyle?

Credit card offers are usually designed for use by different types of
consumers. In order to benefit from any particular offer, it's
important to choose the one that best fits your own spending habits,
financial needs and even recreational activities. The process can seem
overwhelming at times, with so many competing offers and all those
pages of "fine print," but with a little patience, you can quickly
learn how to shop for the perfect credit card for your situation-and
avoid getting burned with a bad deal.

Most credit card offers today include an introductory rate for a
specific period of time. A very common strategy is to offer a 0%
interest rate for 6 months or so. This means that all purchases or
balance transfers will accumulate no interest during this introductory
period. This seems like a great offer-and it can be-- but you need to
pay close attention to the time-frame of this introductory deal. With
some credit cards, it's valid for only the first 3 months. But if you shop
around a bit, you can easily find cards that offer the introductory
    rate for a full year.

After considering the introductory rate, you should look at what the
"normal" interest rate of the card will be. There is so much
competition out there, so take your time and search until you find the
lowest rate-and then search a little more! Also consider, is the offer
for a variable or a fixed rate? A variable rate will change over time,
while the fixed rate remains the same throughout the life of the
credit card. Whenever possible, it is best to go for a credit card
that offers a fixed interest rate. Variable rates have a nasty habit
of changing for the worse, and are not recommended.

Other fees should be considered as well. For example, a few credit cards
charge a "setup fee" or an annual maintenance fee (a few even charge…
