Wow-- Just a few hours and I've got an awesome response already!

Lefty -- Great design. Nice way to start off the contest. I like the colors, shape, and overall design. A couple of things -- If possible, can you incorporate the words "Super Teacher Worksheets". Eyebrows are a bit overwhelming. Hoping for a happy, friendly-type expression on the mascot. The eye brows make him seem a little too mean. Overall, an excellent design! EARLYBIRD BONUS! $5!! Semiperfectus -- No. That is a picture from Captain Underpants books. And I am not going to put a picture of someone wearing underpants on my wholesome worksheets site for kids, parents and teachers.

Roynston -- Sorry, need an original image.


Anaplas -- Cool design, but again... I'm looking for friendly/gentle/happy. Kind of like the header. Not trying to scare anyone. EARLY BIRD BONUS for being on of the first two serious entries that followed directions!! Send me your PM Anaplas and I'll paypal you $5.

Katesrobyn -- Wow! Excellent! I like like design. Since much of my audience is female, I think it will appeal to them. Couple of suggestions: 1. Her face is white and legs peach. Not sure if that's on purpose. 2. Font could use a little pizzazz. I like the mascot, the colors, and the ways you've portrayed her.


Semiperfectus -- Sorry, can't use a spiderman. I'd have a lawsuit against me.

Broogem -- Not quite the superhero mascot I'm searching for. In fact, they look like little rats. Are they from the movie Rattittoullie?


I'm happy for the great response to my contest.... Sorry if I was a little harsh on a few of you guys, but I need *original* work. Many thanks to those who sumbitted so far. I think a few of you are definitely on the right track!

Hi, thanks for feedback.. anyways, here's my revision on fonts and skin face texture. I also made a new model.

Other peoples work? I made that sig by myself dude. Made the clouds with brushes, blended the city you see on the lower part of the banner into the picture, made the text with a font I got from dafont.com. The only thing I didn't make is the spiderman figure in the middle of the banner. But I've upgraded it, and added special light effects so it feels like it's jumping out of the banner. I don't have to reinvent the weel do I? I haven't seen any designs from you mate. Make stuff of your own first, before you go criticize other peoples work.

Semi-- Sorry, you can't be an earlybird because I needed original images as I said in the initial contest posting. The first two people to submit an entry that met all the requirements were Lefty and Anaplas.

Katesrobyn -- Very, very nice. Love the colors and the STW on her chest.

Luvlee-- Aeesome superhero teacher! Wondering if you could add some color to his clothes? His shirt and pants and cape in all red...maybe add a little contrast by making the cape a different color. And I love the font. Can you tie the words "Super Teacher Worksheets" into a square logo somehow too? I'm really after a square logo in this contest... Kind of like the one you did for the square logo on iwantateachingjob.com .

A4Hire -- Love it! He looks very teacher-ly and hero-ish. I especially like the fact that he's flying through the air in superhero fashion. My only suggestion would be to spice up the font a little and perhaps tinker with the white background. Maybe a few little details to fill in the white.

Here is a female and male version. They are square 300 x 300. They are all vector so can change fonts size color, etc.... Now I have the cheeseburger font and made the background green to try to match the web site more.. And wire frames included to show it is all my work....

The whole point is that this is a contest for an original mascot, and that is the part you are using other people's work for. Yes you created the background yourself but the contest holder is after the mascot and your submissions are using copyrighted work which will get the contest holder in trouble if they were to use them.

 

Hmmm....Can we spell P-L-A-G-I-A-R-I-S-M ???
