Use Combofix, where all else fail, combofix wins. A friend of mine had a BAD virus, disabled EVERYTHING. Couldn't even use a proxy to grab an antivirus. I told him about combofix and he booted into safe mode and it killed the virus. He did a follow up scan, and only found a few other files.
Safemode with networking Download and install Avast free home edition Configure to do a boot scan. Reboot and watch for prompts when it finds stuff and select "quarantine" option. There is a way to make it automatically quarantine without any user interaction but I don't have time to explain it. It's in the program settings which you'd have to access before the reboot. After Avast has run, download, install and run Malware Bytes
ayufidiasty You are getting lots of different kinds of suggestions. My opinon, which is based on daily experience with these heavily infected machines, is to start off with Malwarebytes. This will likely improve things dramatically and let you get to the next step in your removal process.
I encountered a similar virus before, whenever you try to open an anti-virus software, it reboots .. What i did was logged on to safe mode, then ran the anti virus (Norton) Hope it works to you as well
If I had similar issue, There were 2 points I'd think of: 1. Use the free version of AVG (Quite nice util). 2. Format & Install new OS, Win 7 nor Ubuntu - Both are nice
The best advice (IMHO): 1. Backup your data. 2. Format the HDD and reload the OS. 3. Install Kaspersky IS (V 7 or greater) 4. Now install all the other necessary softwares. 5. Allow only trusted softwares to access the internet. 6. Enjoy. Hope it helps.
I agree with the malwarebytes proposal. However, if the virus blocks malwarebytes, go into safe mode, and run combofix to get rid of the virus that's blocking malwarebytes. Then use malwarebytes to clean up any other offenders.
Eh, don't try to eliminate the virus, once it's in your system say bye bye, no antivirus can clean it, just format your HDD and finish it quickly, the longer it stays in your system the better for people that created those viruses...
The guy is saying no AV is working, he isn't asking what the best AV is... The only correct comments made here were saying he should scan his computer in safe mode... This way the AV program will run and remove the virus. Although I strongly recommend you manually download and update the virus database of AVG or any program before you run a scan because auto updates will also stop if the virus is stopping your AV from running.
