Super long question to ask Targeting high paying adsense using longtails???

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by shkad14, Dec 17, 2008.

I want to create an adsense site that targets a high paying keyword. Now, with so much competition, I will never rank and be able to compete.

Can I instead target a longtail version of that high paying keyword that gets decent traffic?

Or, would my ads come up for the longtail which pays less per click?

    Thanks

So does everyone else. Who wants to make a penny a click?

There are many variables as to what is paid out. And just picking high paying keywords is not the answer. You have to create a site worth visiting in an industry that has plenty of advertisers willing to spend.

Too many people narrow in on some mistaken belief that all you have to do is pick the magic keywords and throw up a lot of sites then get traffic and make the big bucks.

    Doesn't work that way.

Advertisers don't want to be on sites that have low traffic or offer little real value. Everyone wants to be with the big boys.

So quite worrying about long tail, and keywords. Go make something worth visiting then put up a single block of ads in the most relevant place. You might actually find that ADSENSE is a very poor income generator for a quality site.

you always should start with long tail keywords that have less competition. once you are ranked well for the long tail, you then target the higher volume keyword. regardless of targeting long tail keyowrd, your topic remains the same and you will get same kind of ads on your site. make sure your site is focused on higher paid keywords and you build links with long tail

Solid advice internetmarketingiq. If it were that easy, than everybody will put up hundreds of high paying keywords stuffed web sites and make a bundle. No one has to work their day time job spend the evenings learning new stuff and creating sites that provide value to its visitors.

The best advice is start with your passions and create a solid site that advertisers will envy.

better do your keyword analysis first to see which keyword is worth doing...you don't want a keyword nobody searches on

I don't say targeting the high keyword is not good. You can always compete if you want it to- just stick with what you've planned.

    1. Keep building links. (Directory, Comment, Forum Signature, Link Exchange, Social Book marking, and so on). I heard most of people said, when you build the link with sites which are not related, it could hurt our site, but I found out that it helps my sites' serp a lot although it is not a related site, just avoiding porn, gambling, or hate, ect.

    2. Unique Content, Keep putting more and more content day by day or week by week. ( for expensive keywords, it will have a lot of competition, and I agree with that, but If you have a good amount of back link and your post is over 60 unique posts, you are sure starting to get SE traffics and money should be on the way. Give your blog sometime and keep on doing what you are doing, it will happen.

    3. Keyword is another thing you should pay attention closely, Make sure to buy the domain fitting to the keywords you are targeted, Example: if you want to target Payday Loan or debt related, you can always buy the domain like cashadvancepaydayloandebtconsolidation.com, ect " don't bother to think if it is too long or odd domain, who will give a F*** about that? Improving your site's SOE and pulling money to your pocket that what you should care ". Title, Description, and Keywords of your blog must contain the keywords you are targeted.

That's all I can say, and it's based on my experience. I do get a great success with just this small tips. So hope you won't fail your opportunity- Opportunity won't fail people, but people are the one who fails it, if we think closely.
