Hi friends, I´m looking for webhosting, which would be most suitable for meeting these requests: 1. Website is completed (html/css/js files, bunch of assets). Size of all files should always be between 10 - 100 MB. It will be uploaded via FTP. Don´t need "wordpress, drupal, anything" one-click-installation. Neither "servers power by 100% green energy", "ultra-mega-giga special OFFER", "We´re the best, sneeze at the rest." Reliability, security and performace with fair price equalling provided services is wanted. 2. Traffic is expected to be around thousands of people per month, peaks with a few thousands of accesses per day. 3. Most accesses should come from Europe (85%) and America (15%). Thank you for advises! k.
Your requirements are not very high and can easily be achieved on a Shared Server. The only thing I did not quite get is to what do you mean by "thousands" per month if you are expecting up to few thousands per day?! Because thousands per month can then be 999 999 In any ways, you can check our current deals in my signature, we do have multiple locations and Europe is one of them so it will well fit your visitor locations. If you have any questions I will be glad to shed some more light on the subject
You should be fine with standard / premium shared hosting with what it sounds like I would get a decent shared package and go from there
You just go find few Shared web hosting services, compare pricing (or just send emails to the web hosts asking any questions you might have) and then choose one. There are plenty of excellent service providers in Europe (makes more sense to be in Europe as 85% of your audience is there).
This is how I would go about it. Shop around for a host who offers a free trial or a nearly-free trial like 1 cent for the first month. I do this because I have wasted a lot of time reading reviews and recommendations only to find out that there's a lot more smoke than fire involved. So the only way I can find out for sure is to try out the host. Yes, it costs a little bit of money but that is still better than believing the reviews and recommendations, then paying for something which doesn't work the way I want.
Really? Considered by whom? I've never heard of them and I doubt they are widely considered by anyone.
Re: ThisOldMan: Thank you, that´s really wise idea! And still, I could use reviews and recommendations to find host I pay for exactly what I need - and not for services, that I'll never use at all... To invest my money reasonably.
As I know aspnix.com have stable servers in Germany and USA. From pre-sale, transferring my site to the new server or for special support request, the help offered by their support team was absolutely fantastic. Thanks them a lot. You can try them, OP.
As per your required for "Reliability, security and performace with fair price" check Gogetspace.com. Price and support is good enough.
