    Not sure, they've been happening since the 1980s, but terrorism only started on 9/11 right ;)

    The Sri Lanka situation is incredibly sad, it's a wonderful country with amazing people on both sides of the divide, it's awful to see a country torn apart in this way.

    The US has been fighting a war on terrorism for over the last 40 years.

    In fact, read "1973 U.S. Cable on Mideast Mirrors Current Events" and you will see that terrorism existed before 9/11
