You have an informative blog there :)

You can try replacing the side banner with a vertical link unit. Monitor the results for a month at least.

There is a lot alot of information - Just a thought though. What about adding some coloring to make it stand out a little. There are tons of free themes out there.

    Good luck

Add more Adsense Ads, you only have one referral ad there.
You can add one skyscraper content unit or link unit in the right hand side.
and one square content unit inside the first post/ bellow or above.
Make them look like site contents and easy to catch on eye.

"Post: Kissing Kids" in your homepage (I can't stop to laugh :D

I´d recommend you to have a large skyscraper on the side. When users scroll down they dont see any adds, and it´s probably better than the large square on the top left.

Why aren't your AdSense ads inserted in the middle or at the end of your content based pages? You'll get a much higher CTR if you use the 468x60 contexual in the middle or at the end of your posts.

Your banner ad for Google is too far off to the right. Put it in the main-stream content section, and it will receive more clicks.
