I recently launched AskItOnline, and apart from the local community here in Toronto, Canada... I've had some difficult getting more people signed up on it. Granted I've also done very little on the web. Does anyone have any suggestions they could throw my way on how I might be able to have some more people try it out and ideally start using it? If anyone has any ideas who/how to pitch to some local organizations, that would be appreciated as well!
You could advertise on tylercruz.com the owner lives in canada. Try some offline promotion as well. Advertise on your own car, friends, family, friends of the family cars, etc. You can advertise in the local newspapaer. Look outside the box and go for it.
If I can answer this question I will not posting here. I will try to help. You can try a lot of things! I will make some comments on your website and i wil try to give some good directions: - I'm confusing about the scope of your website: Is that a website like answers.com (that I understood from your first page) or like zoomerang.com (create surveys on line that i understood on features page)? - First of all your website is not finished 100%. Personalize your website. Give it some that your competition don't have. Study your competition. See what they do and innovate. Still their ideas but never copy them. - Involve your visitors in your website. They will love it. But you have to give them the idea on what's happen inside the members area. It's not enough to show them a nice clip on youtube... Let them try it for free for 30 days. - Build your credibility in the customer’s mind. I mean make them desire to make business with you. For now, I will not buy anything on your website. The logo is perfect but the first page is terrible. Think more corporative if you want the local businesses to sign up. Keep the same design style on all your pages. - Tell them how your product would save both time and money. Try local flyers. and finally: Test, change, test, change and test again! It's a good niche for business. I wish to try it myself if I will have time. Good luck!
