Suggestions to build target traffic for MFA sites-calling all DP pros

Ive seen a few sites for sale here on DP and other forums and the sellers often list what they generally did to build traffic, and often they are selling these sites in 3-6 months for a pretty nice profit.

Aside from that, can anyone offer their 2 cents on what they feel is a simple step 1-2-3 method of building initial targetted traffic?

Here is what seems to be the consensus (after the site is built, seo'd and content is prevalent):

    Step one:
    1) Submit to SE directories and article sites, and possibly blog and ping it in.

What would be step two and three...? Obviously regular content is king, but aside from that, link building et al..??? press releases etc etc..

    Help!

    Thanks DP people

ps- dont think DIGG and other announcement sites are really all that great for MFA since the traffic may not be targetted............agree/disagree?

Don't have much time so quick general advice:

    1. Link building with relevent sites.
    2. Paid links if you think their worth it (PR, traffic, depth of link etc...)
    3. Write articles.
    4. Write a relevent blog with a link to your site.
    5. Submit to other directories (e.g. the ones provided by members here)

Sorry I'd like to be more of use but I don't know what MFA is... Am I being dumb here?! Lol

Hope it helped a bit at least,

    DP Person - lol...

Remember, when making MFA sites, you must be ready to be banned.

I beleive AdWords is the best way to get cheap *targeted* traffic to (MFA) site. This traffic converts pretty well, you can buy clicks from $0.01 to $0.05.
If you are limited in funds, you can start with just a tiny budget (e.g., $10 or $20 a day), then reinvest the all payout.
Yahoo is good, but it's more expensive.
Other PPCs (like Miva etc.) are not worth trying - many guys report they are pretty scammy.

As far as link building, SEO, directories and articles - they are good, but it's toooo long to wait for significant traffic. So a webmaster gan go in 2 ways:

    1. Invest ang get FAST output;
    2. Go in a traditional way - this can take months and months to see some significant results.

I agree, take the time to create a real blog or site, not just an MFA. It will be more rewarding and profitable in the long run.

    Thanks guys for the time-
Alfie has a great blog for investing and his $$ stats are always impressive, especially for the brevity of his daily posts.

I have used PPC in the past for other real (non MFA) sites, and although the sites I have created are for PROFIT (MFA, YPN, CJ et al) ultimately I need to ramp up quick and it seems the consensus is to be creative and try to drive traffic with cheap PPC clicks and test the market for the ones that produce (channels).

Anyone care to comment? Aside from PPC, is there any other 30 day or less quick fix to targetted traffic, aside from a PR article that gets page one'd..??

    Thanks guys-

...also re: the post reply about myspace..

Alot of chatter re: myspace trains, adverts etc here on DP lately...

IN short arent most Myspace users sub 19 y/o with frat mentality, or is there a strong base of users in the 24 y/o and up who actually have $$$ and are not there to scam chicks and post beer can pile pics etc:cool:

    Brian,
I'm not trying to change the direction of your thread, I just wanted to make a quick point. The reason I keep my posts short is because the majority of people who visit blogs are there for concise, useful information. It is much more effective to make three new posts a day, instead of one long rambling post that gets boring after three paragraphs. Just something to keep in mind when working on a blog...
