Suggestions on Ways to Convert Traffic?

    Hi,

    I'm new here in DP, and I have already read many posts on increasing traffic and ways of marketing over the internet, but I rarely see any suggestions on how to make these Traffic to convert into sales.

    This might be a noob question, but nonetheless, we still want to know if anyone can suggest the best ways or strategies to convert traffic into sales?

    Ask your customers what they want, then give it to them.

    There are several different methods of converting sales

    Most play on emotions

    Fear - Buy now while quanties last!

    Envy, Jealousy - Buy now before your neighbors do!!

    Pride - Imagine how jealous your friends will be!!

    Need - Shop Acme grocery store! Feed your kids before they go nuts!

    Suspense -

    This one is killer...

    Keeps people waiting.....

    Which like cliffhangers keeps the audience paying attention...

    3. Start a blog. Tell customers they can talk to you there.

    4. Email marketing to your list

    5. Osmosis...this is my favorite way but its frowned upon by traditional marketers...:cool: go figure....

    Osmosis? The term is quite new to me, or it isn't used very much in web advertisement. :confused:

    I've never hid it no matter what the voices in my head say ;)

    you have to make a sales pitch to convert visitors. (Adding visible buy buttons, highlighting new and special / discounted products.. etc)
