I recently launched a forum for the Pakistani web entrepreneurs, web developers, web designers at http://pkexperts.com/forums/ . But I am not sure how should I promote it to Pakistani web related people. I have looked around but there aren't really much Pakistani forums where I can participate. and well, that was one of the reason for starting this community. I have been participating in few Pakistani developers blogs, but that hasn't helped a great deal. I don't really need help with SEO or backlinks as I can get them from few of my previous projects and friends, but the issue is how should I go ahead and promote it. It would be best if few fellow Pakistani website owners have any marketing ideas, and can share it with me .
I think you should get listed in your regional directories and start promoting through those forums and social networking sites. Search for "pakistan web directories" in google, I hope you will get quite useful results.
Thanks for the info, but I wonder if people from Pakistan ever browse these directories. Sure that will get me some SEO benefit though. I guess I will list in few to see if there's any benefit in terms of traffic.
I suggest invest in adwords , as google is searched by a huge amount of people , even pakistanies too. And everyone know google , I even browse google daily , its everyone's need . The best and effective measure is to promote your community via google adwords with decent keywords to target the pakistani peoples.
Google adwords is out of budget esp. since I am not looking for monetary benefits from the forums. But thanks for the suggestion. Maybe I will rather research on keywords and target few specific terms in search engines. yeah, thanks for bringing that up ..
