Suggestions on how to develop/market Cricket.SC?

First off, sorry if this topic is in the wrong forum, couldn't really find a better place.

I need help on how to market this amazing domain name. Cricket.SC could stand for Cricket Source, Scoreboard, Schedule etc.

What do you guys reckon I should do with this domain? How should one go about developing this domain name?

I was thinking of putting a wordpress blog and hiring a writer to post unique articles leading up to the world cup and posting regular updates during the cup. Maybe something else?

Also putting up group draws, wins/losses etc, team stats etc, while generating revenue from adsense and maybe other advertising companies?

Anyone have any other suggestions on how I should go about developing this domain? I really don't have much clue here.

Since the ICC Cricket World Cup is drawing closer, I would like to get this domain with content up asap.

Any advice is good advice for me! Thanks again,
    Andrew.

Cricket is quite a good word to get hold of, but the extension isn't something many people are aware of. So type in traffic will be kinda difficult. I mean, many guys in the subcontinent and UK and Australia where the game is followed quite well, do not even know that the sc exists.

Since your major traffic is expected to come from the search engines, you need to optimise your site well. And time isn't exactly on your side, the world cup starts in the second week of March. It is not that you can't, but it will take quite a bit of your time.

The wordpress blog part of it is pretty fine, and you may implement it as a separate feature of your site or even the site itself.

You can mebbe develop the site as a fantasy cricket game with prizes for the winners.

Promoting the site won't be hard, but it will take quite some effort and money to do so

You'll need to be careful -- are you connected to the Seychelles in anyway or will the site be (cricket in the seychelles!)?

http://www.out-law.com/page-2460 (although that is back in 2002).

I think you need a .com domain. Cricket is the second most popular sport on the internet after soccer. There is a lot of potential there.

That article is about people buying .sc domains under the impression it stood for Scottland. Im pretty sure anyone can register, own, and operate .sc domains.
