Suggestions needed for User registration system

    Hi,

    Is there such a thing as an industry recognised user registration framework ? What I'm thinking of is something so that you don't have to build the registration area and worry about the normal user functionality - create, forget password, change email, etc..

    I'm starting a new web project and would like a framework or a jump start on this sort of thing - basically for all the user registration authentication, etc....

    It's best for you own knowledge to create a user registration system your selve, it can be build within 2 days if you have a little experience. So why not trying yourselve?

    Actually, I've been hunting around and I might use Facebook Connect, it will be a good learning exercise.

    Don't worry, I'll post here when the site is released :)
