Suggestions Needed Deleting the Main Index Page of a Domain

    I have a domain and I want to delete the main page. The domain has a folder/ blog

    www.domain.com/blog

    I want to delete all the files in the domain without removing the blog. Is there a safer way to remove all the files? I'm planning to upload a new webage on the main index.

    Move the folder outside of the document root, remove the remaining folders in the document root, then move it back.
