    I have a website called http://joguru.com. It's a travel come social networking website. I want to change the header of my website which at present is not appealing and is making its UI look dull. Could you please suggest me what can I Place here to make better UI and please my visitors?

    You can add slideshow for header rather then adding one single image as animated images attract more people..

    @pankaj
    we tried doing that as well, but the bounce rate is quite high. And that's why i chose this platform to know what could be the best way to engage my visitors. It has to be UI. Thank you so much pankaj. I am looking for something more creative.

    Keep it simple. Just make it a plain colour, have the logo on the left hand side, and then decorate the rest of the header with small clips of photographs arranged in a row as if they were photographs dangling on a rope.

    My suggestion : First use a content slider in the top and embed some good videos and Pictures.Now you have a slider type of thing in the top , But it is not automatically sliding .Also if we make that background from bg green to a very light gray / offwhite it will be more appealing .Also give a live support widget in the rightside like we have in our website http://www.hibiscustechnolab.com.

    Find a way to allow your visitors to share their Instragram photos of their daily activities in their prospective cities. Then make a collage or gallery of their photos in the header of your website. Whenever they hover their mouse cursor over a particular image thumbnail it will enlarge in a lightbox similar to project thumbnails on Kickstarter.

    Simple is always best. Just add a logo with a nice title that is catchy to encourage people to click through.

    For travel sites, I think a slideshow with the travel pictures would be the best. If you use slideshows, you'd better keep updating the pictures in the slideshow. Also, you'd better use HTML5 slideshows, mobile phone visitors and tablet visitors cannot view flash slideshows. There is a program named HTML5 Slideshow Maker, you may need it.
