Hi, I'm working on a small blog/site and have hit a roadblock... I am not sure what to do next with it. This is my first WP driven site, so I have spent a lot of time trying to get used to it. It's been a couple of days now working on it. Please let me know any suggestions, or what to do with it next (besides continually adding stuff each day - and to get on my own domain which I hope to be able to do soon... figures what I wanted is not available!) I would say, try to connect with others in your niche, start commenting and especially subscribe to their rss so you know what is going on in their life's (when it is personal blog). Try to build a relationship with them, your blog looks nice and if you got it up and running you might consider starting a link exchange and you'll get targeted visitors that are looking for the services that you provide. While your at it, I would suggest to start some serious linkbuilding, maybe blog directories and placing extra articles in article directories. etc. etc.
It's a nice looking blog. You need to figure out what the purpose is and proceed accordingly. If you are going to monetize it at some point, then you'll want loads of good content and start working on networking with other blogs. If you put the time into your posts, the traffic will come eventually.
Thank you very much for your input webrehash and thedutchman. I am going to try to find some other blogs that are related today. As for monetizing, when the time comes that it would be worth it I probably will. Maybe along the line I can have a section for writers, tips, good site, reviews of writer services etc in a section. That's all I am coming up with on that playing field.
