Greetings, We need some suggestions from any Experienced Indian Freelancer working with paypal for some time. We had some issues with both paypal and xoom and it looks us a time waste banging head with them for getting our money through paypal. Here is my story:- We started in the world of freelancing two months back, We are a group of geeky tuxers and programmers from Delhi. Few days back we decided to take out money from our paypal account , We tried both Paypal withdrawl and Xoom. These were the results. 1. Paypal returned the amount after 5 business days, without any notification why transaction cancelled (though we still haven`t mailed them asking for clarification, Any pointers that where and how these clarifications should be demanded ?) 2. Xoom cancelled and refunded amount after 4 days , When asked for clarification they told us two reasons (both on calling at different times to their customer verification team):- 1-> Our sender , recipient address were different , So our transaction were cancelled (duh) 2-> Our business name on our paypal id was different than what name we were asking on the draft,( I changed that name to my name, For which draft was coming) Any pointers were we going or gone wrong,? what are the things that we need to check for making sure all verification is done at paypal and Xoom. My another question is As we are selling services outside country do we need some export licence or any other thing to make our all transactions legal. Would be highly appreciated if someone experienced clear our doubts. Cheers....
Looks like the problem is with the Name mismatch and I had my Last Name spelled wrongly in my bank and had horrible time getting funds from anywhere into that account but those days were check days and so I had another account where names matched and used to deposit there. I had virtually to close the account in my HDFC bank
Well you are providing Digital service I guess, it doesn't needs any export licence or other things. Our business is totally valid but make sure your yearly income should be go more than 12 Lakhs. Second thing, I guess your names is not match with your bank names or your have provide wrong IFSC code or Account number. Just ask them the reason.
well it was indeed name mismatch as i have written my business name as my domain name (Silly me ). I am waiting for xoom to return back and increase my limites
