Suggestions for web design (Wordpress)

    I'm developing a website for my writing business. I've added most of the content that I need, but the actual design is lacking I feel. It is a Wordpress site, so potentially just need a new WP theme. I'd prefer one without any of the widgets anywhere so it looks more "static" and is easy to navigate. The website is www.online-writing-services.com - Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I think it looks perfect the way it is. Although I am thinking the big picture should be removed as it is just taking up space, I had to scroll down to even see any content.

    OK Thanks, I'm going to look at changing or removing the picture today. I'd like to move the "january" from the right hand side, but not sure how at the moment.

    Keep it simple and clean.
    Also I think you should fill the sidebar, there is much white space.

    I would scrap the whole theme, try to find a theme made for freelance writers, even if you have to buy one they normally don't cost more than $35. To be completely honest, I would not purchase services from your website as it is right now.
    Maybe something like this
    httx://themeforest.net/item/paradigm-premium-wordpress-theme/149197 (replace the "x" in httx with "p")
    It's a good looking professional theme for $35, probably takes very little to customize it and get it looking good.
