I saw a useful thread on this earlier, but I'm willing to pay something for the right script. I think my wishlist looks something like this -- I'm borrowing heavily from the more professional directory sites I've already seen -- 1. no javascript links, just straight outbound links 2. dead link checker 3. tiered submission process -- paid and free 4. ability to move to all-paid submission process in the future while keeping the early people separate (non-paid) 5. when people search on a keyword and get results, the categories are displayed along with the results -- okay, that was confusing. Like this: Boats > Bass Boats (live link to category) Bob's Super-De-Duper Texan Bass Boats (live link to site) That really helps submitters figure out what categories to submit to when it isn't crystal-clear. 6. Low bandwidth, clean look I don't know, maybe this suggests a particular script to someone? I'd appreciate your input. Thanks, Blake
I use wsnlinks at RealState - I think it's awesome. They've been around for years and have built up a really solid offering.
Thanks, Sarah. I took a look and I agree that it looks good (as much as I can tell from my brief look -- they have a lot of features). My only reservation is that they don't seem to integrate paid links the way some other scripts do. The rest of their features seem really strong.
Try http://www.boonex.com The script name is baarracuda and it is a nice script. Free ofcourse. Thanks.
