I'm running a contest at www.productivity501.com to give a way an iPod Shuffle. Once we get to 250 email subscribers we'll give away a new iPod Shuffle to one ot eh subscribers. The full details are here. Anyway I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to increase awareness of the contest. If you have any experience with promoting these type of things and would like to share, I'd appreciate it. We have over 150 subscribers now and I'm hoping to get the Shuffle into someones hands before Christmas. By the way if you are interested in winning a shuffle please enter the contest.
I have one suggestion. I guess people not really into random win contest. It is totally 100% on luck. Maybe it is better for you to make some changes. How about referral kind of contest?
That is a good idea Marciello. I'll have to try some type of contest that isn't random next time. I like the referrer based ides. Last night I submitted the contest to http://www.online-sweepstakes.com/ and it seems to be sending quite a bit of traffic and a lot of people are signing up, but I'm not sure if thos are people who are likely to stay on after the contest.
