Hi everyone, recently I sold an online retail business I owned for several years that had all the elements of the 'brick and mortar' life, including employees, offices etc. Part of what I was able to keep as per the terms of the sale was the actual marketing aspect and many websites that I owned that provided a certain percentage of my direct sales. I have since converted those to passive income type sites via AS, ebay and vendor subscriptions.. earning around $9,500 net per month. So, for the first time in my career, I have some cash and no employees and my time is actually very free to choose what direction I want to go in. Here is my dilemna: 1) I do not really know what I did over the past 5 years to grow my sites to get the traffic. (Around 100K UV/mo) I know 'generally' what I did, i.e get backlinks, article postings, write content etc but it was all during my survival years with 15-20 employees, growing pains etc normally associated with 'brick and mortar' businesses. 2) I now have no employees, plenty of time, cash to invest and really no experience 'building' sites as a 'primary' responsibility. 3) There are too many freakin companies out there all asking to help build links, write articles etc etc and really I just get overwhelmed and resort back to earning the passive money I'm earning now and just 'maintain'. 4) I am able to code and create very SEO friendly sites but it seems with cash now that may not be the wisest use of my time now.. I am needing to transfer from a 'worker' to an administrator of a network of sites. 5) PARALYSIS OF ANALYSIS probably sums it up best. So, I'm looking for suggestions from someone who has made a similar transition from owning and 'working' a business to owning a business that produces passive income. 1) If its a particular business to work with, fine, 2) if its a 3 step rule of Build more sites, more content, more traffic = more money formula,, fine as well. 3)Hire a full time employee and have them build more sites, build links, write content? Just would like some help on working from this angle for the first time and actually having some money to invest. Thanks in advance.
