    Who is good for hosting a virtual server or dedicated server? What companies do you guys recommend? I am looking for a host for a dozen sites with room to grow. godaddy?

    I'll give you my 2 cents up front. I recommend LayeredTech.com for dedicated hosting. I've heard good things about DedicatedNow.com as well. I suggest you take a look over at webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2 -- they have a forum JUST for dedicated servers and hosting. Good reviews and good insight over there.

    we have used www.sprintserve.net for years with great service.

    At your level a good reseller package would be the most cost effective.

    For Dedicated I recommend:
    800 Hosting, Rackspace, and Rackforce

    800 hosting is what I am using right now. Really fast servers, great support and about 1/3 the price of rackspace. If you don't mind hosting in Canada, rackforce was really good for about the same price as well.

    its for buying domains...i think not so recommended for hosting.
    in canada - ontario there are some GOOD companies.
