I'll start. (I hope this post doesn't get too big!!! ) 1. It would be good for us if we could basically ban all domains on the internet except ours from using our code. For example have a form where we can enter all our domains and if the ads get put on another domain, nothing shows up, and we get an E-mail telling us about the domain, or a page in reports showing the last 100 domains that ads showed up on. Many of us are worried about people hijacking our ads to get us banned. For example, placing our ads on sites that are about guns, drugs, gambling and so on. And of course we are also worried about getting click bombed from competitors. 2. Many cheaters are looking for programs that do just that, generate clicks. From this thread. In that thread I posted this idea... 3. Before the last major change on the reports page, we could easily save our settings to show the way we wanted them to, right when we logged in. For me that was much easier than it is now for us to get what we want fast. Many of us are lazy and having to click on just one link can be a fain!! 4. As soon as you make your version of PayPal, add the option of our payments going right in our 'GoogleCash' account (What ever it ends up being called!) 5. Allow our AdSense payments to go in our AdWords accounts. 6. Just for fun, can you tell us what percent of the keyword bid we get paid, and what's your opinion on mesothelioma?!
Nice thread idea nintendo. Suggestions 1. Ads by Gooooooooooooooooogle should NOT be a free link. It should be a referral link where those that sign up to adsense through my ads I should get paid for. (esp with the upcoming competitors it would incentivise us to get you more quality publishers) - how much traffic do these links generate ? 2. The ban list should be unlimited & controlled by URL. Someoone may want to have ebay ads on 1 site but not another. 3. Image over/ by ads could be implemented (esp for premium publishers) 4. Ads by google should not be so promenent on Adlinks - its the Ads that people should be paying attention to, not who supplied them - it should not be as dominant. 5. Different font styles should be available (Arial, Verdana, sans etc at least) 6. A code saving box - where you can save your 5 favourite code settings, without having to redo anything 7. Account updates by sms 8. Click pattern charts showing click trends built in. 9. Clear click fraud/ site ban protection procedures. 10. A way of seeing the ads for different countries as they would appear on your site. Pie in the sky: 11. Being able to control ad layout directly from the adsense GUI - no code pasting. 12. % of adrevenue recieved (as nintendo stated) That'll do for now
- We should have official tools to see which ads are clicked. There are already a lot of scripts for this purpose, and this is not against adsense TOS. So why do we have to rely on 3rd party tools? - Adsense should support popular payment systems like paypal. It's a real pain to wait for the check, cash it, then deposit to paypal.
My suggestions. 1. Allow me to see "all time" in the Overview page. 2. Keep being awesome. Other than that, everything is great.
I second this one... I have some sites that have cross-over appeal, but have different advertiser needs. It required me to set up another business and getting another account to split them up. Would be better if we could just have more granular control over things in one account.
On the adsense screen, I'd like it to default to the last thing you looked at when you logged off. I always click over for earnings by day for the current month. Wish it'd keep me on that page when I logged on.
7. Include a 'Last Updated' on the page, showing the date and time of day reports were last updated. Reports look like there are delays that are longer than an hour. It would save you a few thousand terabytes of bandwidth a day since that would keep a few million webmasters from reloading the reports page 1337 times a day!!!! 8. Spy on those other guys!!! 9. Instead of a robot sending out that invalid clicks E-mail automatically, have some one actually investigate first and contact the publisher with questions, instead of the idea of 'terminate now, ask questions later, if they reply to the E-mail'. Quite a few webmasters have got back in after answering questions and working with support. For example, I know of a few webmasters where simply getting bombed with quality visitors caused the termination E-Mail. Then a week or two later they got back in. Those termination E-mails cause a lot of stress! (Please don't send me that E-Mail because of this suggestion!! Yes, my Page impressions have crashed, but that's because the servers power supply shorted out!!! I'm recreating the 66 domains right now) 10. For fun one: Do an IQ test for every webmaster that signs-up. You got one messed up wacko in the program. 11. Watch this board for threads linking to cheaters. 12. Investigate those cheat reports. One publisher kept trying to get a cheater busted, they kept showing the ads, so he contacted the advertisors and THEN the cheater was finally busted. Or an option to select by domain or by URL. So those of us with thousands of files can do it by domain! And allow us to see that with out it showing stats for every single day! For those of us that have been in the program for a few years the page get's HUGE!!! A simple June 23, 2003 - September 2, 2005 90,210 911 133.7% $9.11 $90,210.666 Code (markup): would be great! Disclaimer: Those are NOT my stats!!!! Not even close!!! Then again $30,000 a year would be nice! And please forgive me for da long posts and weird stuff! They don't call me da King of da Wackos for nothing!!
Wait. If I remember right there are no cheaters on this board. Everyone who has been banned is totally innocent and is completely befuddled by their banning. Its like the shawshank redemption of the adsense world.
I'm sorry, two more suggestions, charity suggestions...!!! 13. When there are things like the Katrina Hurricane, replace all PSA ads with links to donate to the disaster victims. 14. Maybe even set something up where we can have all earnings from X/X/XX to X/X/XX go to the victims, or a percent of the earnings.
15. Track more then 200 channels (unlimited) 16. A tool to import 100 hundreds of urls to import them all at one time. I dont feel like adding my url's one by one. 17. How does smart pricing exactly work? I would like to see maybe some specific examples that will explain how it will affect any particular website. 18. A simple Adsense Plugin Tool to monitor the amount of money you are earning instantly on your desktop.
Thanks for this opportunity guys. Above all else, (because it's costing Google and me a significant number of lost dollars) I'd like to see publishers given the ability to control ad unit variations. After Critter's suggestion, many publishers experimented with placing four images above the 728 ad units. This led to higher CTRs. Recent changes mean that the 728 units can contain 1, 2 or 3 ads - in which case the readers' eyes are no longer drawn by the images to the ads. My own experience is that the higher payments for clicks when Google cuts the number of ads in a unit does not make up for the overall number of clicks lost. As an example, on a page that earns a nice return, I arranged generic images above a 728 ad unit. In August the symmetry of the page was lost when Google started varying the number of ads. The CTR fell 37% compared with July. The eCPM fell by 21%. This is lowering earnings for both Google and me. Could we please be allowed to choose whether the recent "varying number of ads in a unit" change is deployed on our pages or not, perhaps via the js code we paste on our pages? Thank you.
16. Almost forgot, most important thing of all =>>>> Payments at the end of the same month so that we don't need to wait till the next month.
19. Have a "graph option" when viewing reports so we don't need to bother downloading the csv and creating them manually. 20. Provide publishers with more stats (e.g. the country of the person who "clicked" on the ad) - [AND I second the earlier comment about letting us know which ads were actually clicked.] 21. Make it clearer to publishers if someone has elected to display CPM ads on their sites (I don't think anyone picked any of my sites for CPM but I have no idea really). If we know who picked us for CPM (and we have a bad relationship with that party) then we can black list them. Cheers
Think a little. You're NEVER going to be able to get paid Net 0. Golly, maybe Google has a LOT of work to do after the month ends. Be glad that you don't get paid every 90 days like Amazon. BTW, since were counting, were at suggestion #40. Let's try to come up with 101 suggestions!
This is already available with google desktop as a plugin. Download and install desktop here then download plugin here
I also like this idea. Eventually I would like to put an AdSense ad on one of my blog which is starting to get some real traffic but I'm concerned about malicious people out there trying to get me banned. I also have one other suggestion too. How about a bounty on AdSense cheaters? It would be nice if I can get paid for reporting AdSense policy violators to Google.
I thought this post was about suggestions. Thats my suggestion. If you don't like keep it to yourself. We will then be able post our own suggestion what we all would like to have. Whether its debatle or not thats another question.
Since I'm in a bad mood, I'd like to see: - No more rediculous fluctuations in CPC costs and CTR values, I'm getting sick of it. I also wish none of our sites hooked up to the same AdSense account effect another one of our sites earning potential - I have no clue this is happening, but then that's because Google keep a lot under wraps which to be quite frank, irritates me right to the bone. Just put the adverts up that are most relevant for the highest CTR - I don't care whether I get more CPC, I don't want less relevant adverts on my pages. Why would I? Yes it may earn more, it may not, I don't care. I want my visitors to see relevant ads, not a bunch of high CPC ones that aren't as relevant as they could be. That's just a nonsense. Now, where's my coffee to perk me up. Pete
41. It would be great if we would get a sort of adsense for google local, suggestion and froogle as well.
Gadood, I'm getting quite sick of your words to useful information ratio in your posts but I don't think I'm going to see any fluctuations there.
