I am working with 2 companies that each have a unique,as seen on tv, type product they are about to start selling online. I wanted to get publishers doing the online marketing work and I was wondering what affiliate networks I could become a merchant on for this type of niche? One of the products is a device for your car that reduces your carbon footprint. The other product is a utility belt with lumbar support for 2 different markets: weight lifting--and contractors (the contractors version has added accessories/pockets for carrying tools, flashlights, etc.) Anyway, I am a complete newb when it comes to this and I want to go to these companies with a solid idea on how to leverage these affiliate networks. When I looked at commission junction, they wanted 50k/month in online sales to become part of their network-but this is completely new. We dont have sales history. Should we consider hiring an affiliate manager? Where do we go to get one? Please let me know your thoughts on what direction to go.
I'm by no means an expert, but you may want to check out shareasale.com, link is below in my sig. They're a good network, they're most likely a lot cheaper than cj, they seem to cater to smaller merchants, and i've seen products that are comparable to what you're talking about in their marketplace. In any event, good luck!
Thats awesome thanks for the shareasale recommendation. it looks like they have a lot of car merchants which is good cause thats what the product is in: http://www.shareasale.com/out-searchprogramscategory.cfm?category=car any other suggestion?
I don't see how the eBay affiliate network could work for a merchant. But I give a strong 2nd to Shareasale, the best affordable affiliate network. Their set up charge is only 550 as opposed to over 5,000 on CJ. Hiring an affiliate manager will help you get off to stronger, faster start as there are so many elements involved in building and growing a successful affiliate program. Most good managers charge in the 2,000 - 5,000 a month range however, just so you know. Hope this helps and best of luck!
Clixgalore is another Affiliate Network to try. Also note. You should join more then one affiliate network. Your offer may convert better on one network verse the other. James Christie Affiliate Manager DirectAssociate.com
Thanks for all the input... Are there any affiliate managers on here from Los Angeles? Do people outsource that affiliate manager position too? How much cheaper is it? Please PM if interested
