Suggestions for a new laptop

I need a laptop new, refurbished or used - like new. I would appreciate if a few people could give me some suggestions. I'm willing to spend £350, however something lower would be amazing.

I expect Intel Core 2 Duo, 3 or 4GB RAM, HDD doesn't really matter much as long as it's decent, preferably a graphics card if possible. It has to be a laptop and not a notebook. I don't really like Acer, however I might make exceptions.

All suggestions are greatly appreciated ;).

If you want a laptop with a graphics card, try looking in the £600 - £1000 area,

For the Intel Core 2 Duo, PCworld might have some for like £400-£480

You could always check out dell's outlet, which has a lot of refurbished or opened laptops for good prices.

I'm not sure exactly the USD equivalent of that, but it sounds like about $500-600 to me.

If that's the case, you can probably get most of what you're looking for, as long as you're not hoping for a great video card. Those are pretty expensive in laptops.

It all depends on what you're looking for, and what you plan on doing. In that price range, you'll be playing any new games on their low settings, and you'll be able to do basic computing w/no problem. But if you'll be doing any heavy applications or if you multitask a lot, you'll need to put your highest priority on 4GB RAM (62-bit Windows) and a CPU of at least 2.3 GHz dual core.

You should checkout Dell online store.

There you can get a Dell Inspiron laptop in less price. May be even less than $450.
And also they are of 15 inches. :)

Go with Dell or Sony Vaio Series laptop as both are good to go with.
