how about making this script counting how many pages/BL you have indexed in Yahoo also...

maybe other search engines too... but Yahoo is the second after Google so it should be there I guess...

Also for position finder Yahoo would be nice...

Google provides free API that can be used for this purpose. The other search engines do not.

If that's what it takes, i can make a parser that will return from any page on other search engine:

    the number of total results,
and the position that a site was found at for a keyword...

If that's what it takes to get things done then I can do it.

It would violate Yahoo's terms of service. Also, Yahoo throttles the number of requests from an IP address automatically. The volume of traffic the keyword tracker has would far exceed the allowance by Yahoo before they throttle. So most queries to Yahoo would fail to begin with.

Add a small JS that opens (in an iFrame) the PHP that queries yahoo, based on a small timeout

You can process the data in the same PHP, or onLoad at the frame you can pass the data to other PHP in same frame, or an image ;)

If you really wanna do it, it can be done without getting blocked by Y

Also... about Yahoo TOS... how many sites/softare(s) out there, that report position on Yahoo, or backlinks on Yahoo have been sued by Yahoo for that?

Irrespective, it's against the TOS. Shawn plays by the rules, and quite rightly so.
