    Hello

I want to move away from my current hosting company - too many issues with them lately, I had enough - does anyone know a reliable hosting company that will restore my full backup for free?

I already contacted two big guys and they don't offer this service, probably they don't need new clients, who knows...

    Thanks

Should be no problem on many providers. 400 MB not that big amount.

So if I understand, you want to move to a new host, and the new host won't restore your site's backup for you? That's just stupid business practice. Shame on them! Any host you're moving to should either transfer your site from your old host, or restore your backup for free. You're giving them business. Why in the world would they not help you move to their company?

Any good hosting company has CPanel where you can do the backup and restore your site yourself.

If you are using a cPanel full backup, the above two posts are entirely incorrect.

Full cPanel backups can only be restored from the root level, i.e. by your host. You cannot restore a full backup yourself from either a reseller or shared account.

From your new account, you can restore home directory backups, mysql backups, and email forwarders/filters only.

thanks to everybody answering me, please someone close this thread, I should have known I will be spammed with messages after opening this thread.

I will report all hosting offers as spam from now on, I didn't ask for that!

Unfortunately, that's what this forum has become. The majority of forums out there do not allow for companies to PM or email potential clients. In fact, this is the only one I know of with the completely opposite rules. *sigh* Ah well.
