Alright so I have been back after a five year hiatus, and this forum above all else is OVER-MODERATED. You close threads which doesn't even give ANYONE a chance to respond. Its freaking ridiculous! For example this thread:

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1284375

What if that wasn't the answer to his question? What if its 20 days and he still can't post? Its ridiculous how you guys moderate this place. I posted a question a few days ago, stating how I couldn't post in a forum and that I had made a previous account before. And what do you guys do? You PERMANENTLY BAN ME. I investigated further, and it looks like I DIDN'T HAVE AN ACCOUNT IN 2004, I was actually a lurker. My memory was a little fuzzy after five years!

You guys really need to watch what your doing; your pushing out potentially great members like myself and not even giving anyone else a chance to respond to the question threads they make. It really is ridiculous!

And I hate to be the one to tell you this, but your new account will likely be banned as well. Multiple accounts are banned immediately at DP, unfair as that may seem.

That thread was closed because the question was answered. That's SOP for feedback threads. They are locked so that OT discussions of policies and misinformation are not added after a mod has decreed the answer. In this particular case, there is no point in discussing it; Smyrl explained the technical issue and that is pretty much the end of the matter.

What was your account that was banned? If you are posting blazenly that you are using a duplicate account? What do you expect us to do? Welcome a dupe with open arms? Now you are telling us that your memories failed you? Your fuzzy memories, is it our fault or your fault?

If we do not close the thread, 5 years later there will still be posts, saying PM Me or Thank you for the Info. Have you seen threads will more than 100 posts of just PM me? Over modulated? If we were to leave it as it is. You will just find viagra, porn, buy China Nike and whatsoever filling up the entire forum and it is ruin.

We are trigger happy? Do you think we enjoy infractioning or even banning members that we just talked to via PM etc? Those members we know so well? Day after Day and Month after Month? Do you know how many reports we have in a single day? We have to be fair and moderate equally friends or not. The sheer size of the forums create chaos if it is not moderated properly and fairly.

    I call bullshit.

First it's a 3 year hiatus. Then 5? Bobbonew, newbobbo, totallycr8zy, or whatever you're calling yourself today - probably a good idea to get your story straight before whining about being banned, no? Regardless of what you were doing 3 (or 5) years ago, there is absolutely no situation where 3 accounts are permitted. Kiss 'em goodbye.
