We are moving our forum platform from SMF to Kunena and our main concern was not losing Google rank and indexation. We got a new suggestion on how to do this: /Create a PHP or other script that handles 404 errors and maps old URLs to new URLs with HTTP 301 Moved permanently. Its possible to create such a mapping by querying Google or your old forum database. Mapping can be stored in CSV file or just a PHP array./ Does this sound like a possibility? Any idea and/or suggestion is appreciated. Thanks
thanks for the suggestion. i did post there too but it would be good if I get others' opinions in many places.
it just seems they would be better suited to supply accurate information. i never heard of kunena but i checked out there forum package and its not bad at all. smf is still great, may i ask why your switching?
