Suggestion Needed for the Product Sphinx Search

    Hello Shawn,
    The table searchcore of the database of my vBulletin installation always go corrupted.
    If I move to DP's Sphinx Search, will it help me? (I have over 400K posts).

    Also, if I install the DP's Sphinx Search, can I completely disable the built it search function?

    Yes, it completely replaces vB's database search. searchcore* and searchgroup* tables can be emptied since they are not used.

    Another thing, Shawn, is it require file edits? I mean, do I have to edit core files everything I upgrade vBulletin? Or, it's just importing a product xml file?
