Suggestion from DP members on wp theme shop

    Hello friends..

    I would like to start a new wp themes shop website where I would like to sell my themes, is it ok in present market, why I am asking is , now a days there are plenty of wordpress themes are available for free :) is it good to start selling wp themes in my website??

    OR

    is it better to maintain a free wordpress theme galley with google ads and some more ads???

    I can not decide which one is better for me, I am a web designer, I can do my self all wp themes.

    It would appreciated if any one guide us.

    It depends on your designing skills. If you can afford creating like 50 new designs per month then I would recommend you to open a shop and sell them $20 each (or even more if quality is high)

    why not create some generic ones that you give away (but collect emails) then create a few really good premium ones and sell them at a price of $50+ and email all the people who downloaded the free ones?

    I have always thought that the way this person created their free button maker site was brilliant marketing. I really think that the idea they have crossed with templates for download, rather than buttons might be an option for someone, possibly you to explore. Take a look at this site and study how they have it set up. They offer some buttons for free through certain dates while others are locked to members only, they then charge a one time purchase if people who come back often want access to all buttons all the time.
