Suggestion for new personal wordpress blog

Hi ,I have a personal blog based on wordpress and have a theme specially designed for photos and videos ..

But it have a option where i must create categories from their customized photo or video post type .And the worst thing is these category will not be available on main navigation but
i really like the main theme ..and i have not seen any theme like this ..

Please suggest me about this ..
